Hello,

Seeing the one char per server limit I am planning to make my char a crafter as well as a PvM/PvP char. To help save some skill points I don't plan to put anything in the tailor/merchant tree in the Artisan class. I do plan to master the whole Armor Smith profession. So while not mastering all the4 skill trees in the Artisan Classbut only 2 (engineering and surveying) andmastering all the 4 inArmour Smithing, does this imply I will have the max. experimentation pointsfor experimenting armours ?

Thanks in advance,

Galaxyburst

Don't do it.. lol

If you believe that you can be a crafter, a PvE, and a PvP person, you can't.. atleast not to any degree of success.. If you try to be a hybrid of areas, all you will do is end up with a character that will make inferior products not worth selling (in general), a fair PvE combatant, and you will get owned more times then not in PvP to those that specialize in that.. So unless you enjoy making frequent trips to the cloning station, replacing your inferior crafted weapons and armors, I would suggest you stick with one area and master it.. to try and do all will only leave you gimped

As long as you Master Armor smith, you'll have full base armor experimentation. Artisan experimentation is different. Some armorsmiths can pick up 2 additional experimentation points from clothing attachments. (+20 = 2 extra points). These are as expensive as any item in the game. Also note that you'll need to buy bulk Tailor products, but I think you knew that.

Cronus,

So when I master the armour smith and the rifleman it's not a good template ? I thought that will be agreat template because I was then able to make the personal shields to supplement the weaknesses ofthe armours for my rifleman. Hey but I am a newby, love to hear thesuggestions from others what to do.

Not to speak for Cronus, but I think I know where he's going. I'm not going to tell you you shouldn't do it. But background, I once played a master weaponsmith. When I did, the pressure of searching for materials, crafting stock, taking care of customers, and running the shop really monopolized my time. But on the otherside I do encourage everyone to play a crafter at some point. At worst you learn what's involved, what materials have value and so on.

Fsuchan,

Yes it's already a pain for me to search for the good (rare) raw materials, thats why I plan not to open a shop. The idea was to make the good armours for myself with the rare materials I find from time to time or on the bazaar; I am greedy .From what I have readI will gain the max experimental pointswhen I reach the Master Armour Smith. But in this gamethe hybrid crafter/fighter is not good?

As long as the crafting doesn't take too much time away from your other activities, I see no reason why you couldn't do both. You may not be the ultimate fighter, but you should be able to hold your own, have fun, be a productive member of hunting groups.

Galaxy.. all Im saying is that if you wish to be a hybrid artisan/fighter, don't expect to be close to the top of the food chain in PvP activity.. You'll do just find staying with PvE content and missions, rather its' solo or with a group.. But if you roll into a location where most likey a PvP template god is there, plan on making frequent trips to the cloning center is all I'm saying..
