Hi,

I am asgreen as the grass, I have about 2 weeks of playtime now. But I haven't logged

very ?any hours online in the game yet.

Anyway, my question is. Is it necessary or even best to top off the Business and Domestic trees

for a Novice Artisan to say become a Weaponsmith or Armorsmith or even a Droidsmith.

Really are they any good anyway?

Thanks for the help.

Well, business III can be good to have, but IV is not so necesarry, unless you plan on becoming a merchant.

Domestic arts is, to me, only good for the artisan experimentation and assembly. Get it if you are going to craft artisan items or become a chef or a tailor.

Thats my opinion at least

Yes they aren't essential to those elite professions you mention, so if you are planning your character and are short on the skill points you can save some here. Don't forget you can always drop skills if you have already trained them.

if you want to be a solo crafting profession you should take them, if you want to do something else like TKA or Pistoleer or such things you should think about what you want to do.

If you open your own shop it will look better with the vendors you can get from merchant skills which means that you should get business. For a Weaponsmith or Armorsmith it is not necessary but a good ideat to get the domestic tree, because it gives you the exp points and you can make good weapon/armor repair tools to sell them on your shop. Although it should not be too hard to find an artisan which delivers them in crates if you want to provide this service to your customers.

If you want to become DE it is a good idea to become Master Artisan, because you will need a lot of Master Artisan parts for many of your droids.

Wow it really cuts into having two Masters then, I was thinking about being a D.E. and a Master Rifleman, but if i have to be a Master Artisian it cuts into that idea.

Oh man, what to do now I am not sure... Are Droids that good for combat? If so I guess I will for go the Master Rifleman then...

If you are planning to go through DE it is strongly recommended to take Master Artisan too. It is not mandatory, but due to the huge number of Master artisan subcomponents needed (around 80%of the droids need at least one MasterArtisan component) most DEs prefer to be MA too. You can always find a reliable MA to supply you or buy just the schematic, anyway...

Droids are not good killers at combat. The only combat droid at this moment is the probot, that makes 70-80 damage but have 40% Medium resist to all kinds of damage. Its not good killing but tanking. Anyway there will be new combat modules in next patch and who know what the future is...

Maybe you should visit the DE forum for more info
