Those who think the resource market is flooded are very wrong. I often stop by resource vendors that are well stocked... with crap. I'm sorry to say, but many if not most artisans are noobs who have no idea what elite crafters want. I'd love to buy a stack of 100k of the good tat fiberplast that spawned on tarq a few months ago, yet most of the vendors are filled with low quality junk that I can't use in my advanced schematics.
News Flash: The holo grind will be over soon, if you don't wise up you'll be stuck with millions of units of resources that nobody wants. I made millions in the resources business, but I didn't mine any old junk. I started out working for a master architect. I mined what he needed and made millions. I dabbled and worked for other craters as well, I made 1 mil off one sale to an armorsmith once. Later as I began to get interested in the doctor profession I shifted my business to focus on medical resources. I learned what docs needed, and I made millions more.
You can make millions with just artisan 0004, but it takes some work. My advice is to focus on providing resources for one or two elite crafters. Find out what they need and why, get to know the local crafters. If you are lazy and just spend 20 mintues surveying and putting harvs on some random spawn of minerals on your home planet, you will mostly likely be wasting your time and money.
Further to the point, how to do you epect newbie artisans to keep up with the demands of ASs, WSs, Docs, Archies, and all the others? No one knows what a doc needs like a doc after all. If harv certs were implemented, there would be a massive shortage of high quality resources that would plung the servers into CDEF hell.
In short, just say no to harv certs. As a doc, I write you all a prescription for no harv certs... and if you still want them you get ritalin
