Thread: Do Factories still give exp?

I played the game back in beta and just now decided to buy the released product. Back then you would get a percentage of Crafting Exp when using your factory. I just bought one with my new character and amassed a huge amount of resources well what I consider huge anyway but im not receiving any exp from my factory at all. I thought it should give some exp since it still cost money and lots of resources to run the factory. Is this a bug or has the exp been removed from factories altogether?

During the few months after initial release factorieswere givingexperience (think about 10% or so). Haven't received experience from factories in a long time though. Not sure if it's a bug or it was remvoed.

Ok thanks alot for the answer I guess i blew all that money was hoping to find a quicker way to beat the grind of practicing constantly on one thing even if it did cost me more money and resources for less exp but would be worth the saved time.

Factories do give a small percentage of of the xp you would have gotten if you made them yourself (I think about 5%) but only when you extract the item from the crate.
The important part is "only when you extract the item from the crate".
This means that if you sell/give a crate to someone, you won't get any xp, or if you use the crated items in manufacturing another item directly from the crate, you won't get the xp.
