Thread: Experimentation Changed?

I just noticed tonight that my experimentation possibilities are WAY down! For example, on CDEF weapons I can only spend 3 points of experimentation on them and they're starting at like 6%! I can't get anywhere close to the damage ratio that I was getting the other day.

The same thing with survey/crafting devices...it's like everything was nerfed..HARD.

So, I'm wondering if this is just me or if this is everyone. If it were everyone I think it's awefully rude to change the laws of nature without letting us know ...lol

I'm building better items than ever...
Don't think it has been nerfed.

These points, the reson I don't see them is because you have to be an elite profession(ie weaponsmith)beyond normal artisan to get this kind of experimentation right?

No,your materials determine how high you can get values. Use crap materials, and you can't raise the values that high. Use good materials, and you can raise them to the limit. If you can only use 3 experimentation points, and start at 6%, you're using the first thing you can get your hands on, and not the best stuff for the job.

Tadpole,

You need the specialized tool and the crafting station to get experiment options. For, say powerups, you use the "weapon, droid and item" crafting tool that can be made with engineering I. Stand near a public crafting station of the same type, ie. weapon, droid and item crafting station. After you assemble the item your option to experiment comes up.

I have to agree with Aelorean. I have been using the same materials to build my CDEF rifles for the last four days. On Tuesday, I was getting 17% increase on Great Sucesses. On Thursday, I started to see 15%. Today (Saturday) I have been getting 14% and I have yet to see an Amazing Sucesses after thesix critical failures I suffered in one hours of play.Iknow you guys probablyhave more gametime in this than I do, but I feel it has been nerfed. The guns I put into the Bazaar days agohave higher stats than the ones I make now. Does it make sense for me to level upand make lower quality items? I thought the whole idea of Experience is that you do things better than you did as a rookie. That's my two credits worth....
