hey everyone,

i am trying to place my first harvester (woohoo) but the system tells me that i cant place one in the state i am in. i am pretty far out of town (Teyrena) and first it told me i couldnt build were i was standing. i moved around a bit and then i got the weird message about the state i was in.

i am on perfect health. i am involved in a stat migration at this point but someone told me that they were as well and had no prob placing their harvestor.

if anyone can help i would appreciate it. thanks in adavance.

ps - can you guys give me an average daily cost of these things? also, how much power do they require?

About the state: it seems to take a few seconds for the server to realise you are standing up and standing still. Try just standing there a few secs and see if it works then. I found that I got the state message first, then if I tried to place again I got told that I couldn't build in that area. I moved a bit further away and voila.

Harvesters cost about 600 creds/day.

Wind generators about 1440.

I'm not sure on the energy cost, but my one wind harvester is happily keeping 4 harvesters going, with energy to spare.

Its juts a glitch. When it gives you that message, keep trying to use the deed, and eventually it will say that you can't build there. Just go out farther. You have to be pretty far away to use them, which gets annoying, but its good if you think about it, you wouldn't want a city to be surrounded by mining machines.

As for the cost, a mining machine costs 720 a day to maintain. Wind Generator costs 1440 per day, but for some reason seem to lose credits faster and end up taking more than 1440. Energy cost, its 25 per hour for a mining machine, so a full day would be 625 energy units.
