Thread: Crafting Stations & Schematics...
When you experiment on an item at a crafting station, you have two options. 1) Create a prototype object and 2) Create a draft schematic or something like that.
What does creating the schematic do for you? Does it mean that instead of having to re-run the experiment every time, you just load up that schematic?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Much!
Thanks Boodow, much appreciated. I suspected that would be the answer, now I know!
Happy Crafting!
When you get your factory and decide what you want to produce, you take your kit and resources to the crafting station. Make your best item by experimenting on it until you get the stats you like.
Then when done experimenting, and you think you have the best item you can possibly make, you create a manufacturing schematic. This tells your factory how to build/experiment on each item and duplicate your painstaking research into that item.
Just remember, when using a schematic, you must feed the factory with the EXACT resources that you used to make the prototype/schematic with. i.e you cannot use "steel" you must use "nabooian didyliculus steel"
(If this has changed since the last timeI ran a factory please correct me. Haven't placed one on live server yet)
