It should work that way, you're probably expeirencing a bug. I would /bug it.

Im thinking this might be by design...

such a shame.. high quality schematics is definately a market right now...

Are you talking about a manufacturing schematic, or one you looted somewhere? I don't know there should be a difference, but I'm just curious. I haven't seen any factories yet, so I don't know where mfgr schematic would have a market.

I drag it from my data pad to his window then it auto-cancels the trade. Any ideas?

I deleted those 2 old ones and still nothing. Anyone else unable to drag a schematic from your data pad to the trade window? Also, people talk about selling them through the bazaar. I tried this and it wouldnt work. How do you select it to sell? With the sell window open there is no way to select a schematic. Help please!

Trade's bugged and closes as soon as you drag the schematic into the trade box, you can't email it, you can't sell on bazaar, and there don't seem to be any other ways of trading it. No way around it until they fix the factory admin permissions bug or the schematic trade bug.

i believe the main reason for this is if we could trade schematics then those who used time and effort to gain elite crafting positions would soon have done it all for nothing, as say a marksman with novice artisan skill and an SR combat pistol schematic (as well as any schematic required parts for it) would have no reason to buy one from a weaponsmith (sure a weaponsmith could make better quality, but if a marksman is gonna get it for free, then why not settle for something a bit below par... especially when its so much better than a cdef pistol).

so i'm guessing that we cant trade by design until they figure some way around this.

I dont see how this is a problem. IfYOU took your time to get to the elite profession, andYOU decided to sell one of your schematics, why would YOU feel you did it all for nothing?

I'd be inclined to think this had more to do with the trade bug... Trade window sometimes closes for no apparent reason. A few tries sometimes sorts it out. Try trading other items and see if you get the same problem. If you can trade him a gun np, but not the schematics, then the schematics likely to be the problem. If you can't trade a gun either, it is probably a general trade bug.
