Thread: This is getting rediculous. Today there is no copper on Talus.

OK, it was one thing when they completely changed around the minerals and the Pegofac that I had been mining was no longer on Talus. It seems strange to me that metal should just suddenly disappear off of the planet entirely, but the game is still developing and there were other sources of Steel to be found. Yesterday there was no Reactive Gas to be found on the planet. It simply was not an option on my list, though I have items that require it for crafting. Now today, I log in and there is not a single type of copper in my survey list and there is only 1 type of Aluminum which I have never heard of before? Am I the only one who is pissed about this? What is the point of placing a waypoint at good mineral deposits when they are changing on a daily basis? I can find nothing from the developers explaining the situation and as a Weaponsmith, who is requiring large amounts of resources, I am starting to get very very frustrated. Anyone out there have any insight on the matter?

The same thing is happening on Gorath server Naboo. Resources are changing daily, and its getting annoying because I have to check on my 8 or so harvesters going, which takes at least an hour of running back and forth. Radioactive metal is completely gone, so I have nothing left to power them with (I'm too cheap to buy/make wind power.. hehe) Supposedly, I heard that the servers keep getting reset, so I think thats why the game is switching the resources on us.

I posted this problem on the dev boards. Seems like resources change at 2AM daily.

Aye i agree this is not so good, you have to run like a maniac between all your harvesters and check them, today 5 of my harvester was just standing there and didn't do anything, why? because these **edit** materials wasn't there anymore.

Then you put up some work with these waypoints, i have already filled up 50% of what you can have there and now i have to deleate 25% of them and tomorrow i have to add 25% new and deleate 25% PHEW.

If they could at least change it 1 time / week but **edit** not daily.

I like the fact that the resources change over time. But they have changed every night for the past three nights. All I've done for the past 2 days is move harvesters and look for minerals.

well the other problem they had during beta was 5-10 players on each planet filled all the best spots with harvesters and ended up controlling 85% of the metal. Personally I would like to see the harvests go away all together and bring back the mining profession that uses portable gear/vehicles to up their mining rate it would end alot of the industrial blight we get now, and would work great with the way the minerals are set up now.
