I reached Engin III but the only deed I can make is Wind Deeds. What did I miss ?

Engin III shows u can make about 4 deeds

I guess this a Artisan Noob question.

you need to create a furniture/structure type specialized tool. then go to that crafting station and craft there. Then you will see the rest of the deeds show up.

Use Ctrl+D menu to see all you deeds I believe at II you get Personal Mineral Extractors and Wind Harvesters. Look at the deed to see which crafting kit you need to make each item. Not all of them can be made with the general Crafting kit.

Sorry for the short post, but do what the guy posted. First, check your datapad and you will see a Personal Mineral Extractor deed. Then create a structure tool. Then have fun. Good luck on finding a place to put it though.

By-the-way, you get the Personal Mineral Extractor and The Wind Generator at Eng. III and the rest at Eng. IV

I can't imagine not using the specialized tools, since they're the only way you can experiment on items, when you use them by the Public tool of the correct type at any rate.

Although I do hate it when an experiment turns up a big failure.

Nope Ive found this information useful as well, not that Ill be able to use it for the next 6 weeks till Im back from Indonesia.
