Thread: How to know what the best material for an item is (formula)
You know how when you are crafting an item it says something like
Chages
10% conductivity
22% flavor
68% quality
That tells you how important each one of those qualities of the supplies is when determining how good the item is going to be (for the charges of the item or whatever the bold part is). So here is a formula for figuring out which material is going to be the best.
Lets say you have 2 minerals
Mineral 1
967 conductivity
704 flavor
182 quality
Mineral 2
422 conductivity
318 flavor
899 quality
Ok, so quick mineral should you use to get the most charges(or any other stat) on the item. Do
( Percentage of importance / 100 ) * (the stat on the mineral) for each one and then add those 3 up. The higher number is the better mineral.
Example
Mineral 1
( 0.10 * 967 ) + ( 0.22 * 704 ) + ( 0.68 * 182 ) =375.34
Mineral 2
( 0.10 * 422 ) + ( 0.22 * 318 ) + ( 0.68 * 899 ) = 723.48
So by this we find out that Mineral 2 is ALOT better than mineral 1.

If any of you mathematicians find anything wrong please tell me but I think its perfect. And please tell me if you think it helped you because it took me a while to write. Enjoy

Very glad soemone brought this up. We should have a search field available within the next week that let's you specify the type of resource you are looking for and the percentages of the fields of importnace. The script will then do all the math for you and list of the resources of choice from best to worse.
'Course, I did advanced math, calculus in college, and I work in statistics. So.
Yeah, dividing by the number of resources would give you a weighted average, but it doesn't mean much in this situation. Skip that step and the numbers signify the same thing and help you just as much.
