Thread: Another nerf to weapon powerups or bad luck or a bug?

Just got on and experimented on 20 rangeweapon powerups. Not one was created at higher than 55%. I'm used to about one-third being 83% or greater.


Did I just hit really bad sequence on random number generator or something else going on?


I'm a scout/pistoleer and I really need good powerups.


If anyone makes some powerups today please comment on your success rate.


Also, I can't find practice feature anywhere.

Vital statistics:


Trained in Engineering I - IV. Trained in Domestic Arts I. Trained in Surveying I-IV. No other artisan training.


On crafting summary screen the base percentage for Effectiveness is 27%. Both ingredients have over 900 Overall Quality.


I have 8 points to spend and I put them all into Effectiveness and experiment once.

I was making some muzzles this morning and I thought I noticed something similar. I had a few that got into the 80s or higher, butit didn't seem to beas many as usual.

You're using the same materials as before right? I don't like the sound of this at all, powerups are my bread and butter.

Hmmm, the base effectiveness sounds to be in the right range, but the experimentation results are horrible. What sort of feedback on successes were you getting Shue?

Prior to the patch I was seeing.....
For each great success effectiveness rose by 7 percentage points. Using materials averaging about 960 in quality, I would get a maximum experimented effectiveness of 96%. Since I'm a master artisan I would hit that max about 60% of the time.

If it is a change, this isn't good. basically it means that we can't craft powerups near the maximum. As a master artisan, if I use high quality ingredients I should be able to experiment very close to the theoretical maximum.
