Thread: Jasarina- The has got to be one of the Top issues.
One of the top issue I feel is that Overt IMP and REB can not trade to nuetrals.
I have seen dozens of crafters angry at this, alot of times when I wanted to buy something. This is the reason why I was forced to be a covert IMP. Being covert means that I am left out in alot of IMP stuff, like gaining promotion quicker. I see no reason why a Overt of any faction or a TEF'ed Covert should'nt be able to trade with a nuetral.
What is your stance on it?
Do you think it is fair?
Do you believe it is cutting into sales?
Should it be changed?
I want your opinion!
This is a result of the removal of the 3rd faction (i think the name they're using for it now is mercenary). Mercenaries when implemented will be able to trade with anyone, incurring TEFs when they trade with a factional player.
When everything is in place, I think the system will be just fine, but right now it is a pain in the butt.

The Mercenary Faction?
I think the faction system is totally broken, for instance I have -2750 Jawa faction Points, yet I can walk right up to them.
Going back to the topic, why did they even make it this way, I mean nuetral parties trade with the empire. All the time, thank god they made covert, but I dont like it when an overt trades with a covert the covert gets a TEF. That is not fair.
LOL, I don't think you understood me - the 'mercenary' faction is a third player player faction. Rebel - Imperial - Mercenary. Those who want to trade with both rebels and Imperials would join the Mercenary and recieve a TEF for whichever side they are trading.
I think that the TEFs are a good idea. You're telling me that if the empire discovers someone supplying the rebels, they should be OK with that? The it's only business excuse doesn't fly in wartime. Ask the French about the TEF they got forsupplying weapons and cash toSaddam. They're going to feel the effects of that choice for a LONG time.

It's not? If you were Vader and saw Leia walk up to someone and give them a package, wouldn't you kill this person on the assumption that he works with the Rebellion??

Before or after I killed Leia?
well i mean there's a difference between supplying vital info and supplies to the rebellion and sellfing them some exo-protein wafers for lunch.
you didnt see the empire nuking th cantinas for selling drinks to people do ya.
I don't see the difference.
Here's a hypothetical, real world question to make my point.
Lets say you are the guy who makes and sells military rations to Saddam's army. You are delivering their lunch one day when you are caught on a spy planes cameras, driving your truck into the compound.
Does Don Rumsfield
1. Tell the military to let you pass, afterall you are only bringing necessary supplies to the enemy.
2. Order your truck to be stopped and examined before you leave your shop from now on, to make sure that it's only food you're trading.
3.Read about your untimely death in a report a couple days later, because the Army automatically hits anyone who is bringing supplies to the enemy.
