There are 3 optional componants in the schematics. Can anyone tell me exactly what each one does, and if the game actually takes advantage of any benefit?

I made some the other day, I built and used the first two optional componants, but was wondering what the Droid (droid something or other) Slot does. If there are benefits to the slots, can they be verified that the codeof the game actually considers them?

If you want a decent functionality rating on your station, you must put them in. The droid compartments also add an input hopper, a 100-item capacity bin for storing items that you can draw from when you craft at the station. It's a pain in the butt to get it all put together, but it's well worth it. Your experimentation risk chance will be GREATLY reduced with an excellent station and tools.
