What do you use them for and can you use them to power harvesters?

They are just like any other material.., you can use them to build items..... but you are correct. You CAN use them to power havestors.. but youll need a WACK load for it to be enough to power even a small havestor.

I use acose radioactive materials, and i use wind power...

Try it out.. youll see what i mean. Your best bet... build a wind generator unless you can afford to sample 3 hours a day..

You absolutely can use radioactive ore to power harvesters. It may have other uses, too. I don't know.

Don't sample for three hours a day. Do what you would for any resource. Build a harvester.

Really, it depends on the ore, and the % of Vein you build the Radioactive Ore Harvester on. I currently have 1 Windmill sitting on a 30% spot, and 2 Radio-active harvesters sitting on a 69% spot.. they are powering 7 other harvesters 24x7 and I am generally left with a decent stockpile of power after. I could easily ditch the windmill to power the harvesters.

I find that radioactives make yummy food dishes as the only mineral resource that has a potential energy statistic.

Every now and then I hear a voice in my head that says:

Radioactives are also used in high end weapon making, especially the Rocket launchers

Save some of your best radioactives for Elite Weaponsmiths.

What are they used for? I have about 12k of it with 900+ potential energy.

Its used to power harvesters. It might also be called for in some schematics but I'm not sure about that.

Yeah, I saw a good 84% yesterday on Danthomir and didn't if it was worth mining, I guess I will go back there tonight to harvest some

Best way to mine them is to get a Fusion Reactor from an Architect (Installations 4 needed). They are 1440 per day in maintenance and require no power to operate. They also pull just radioactive minerals out at up to 13 spec rate.

Just a quick question. I am working towards weaponsmith. I set up my first harvestor a week or so ago. A couple days later we had a resource shift. When I looked the harvestor was sitting on a 71% radioactive ore spot, so I let it go. Now I have over 6k or radioactive ore. Is this going to be of any use to me as a weaponsmith, or should I be dumping it? For that matter is it of any use to anyone? I am thinking I should have had a fusion reactor on that site :>

It shifted back to steel, so now at least I know I am getting something I can use.
