Thread: Surverying Ore

I'm having problems, i used to be able to survey for ore when i was alow level artisan. Now my Mineral surveyer doesnt even have ore on the list of resources in it. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? thank you.

Harvesters have been a little buggy lately, but the only possible reason that you can't pull any ore up on the resource list would be that there is no ore currently in spawn. This will probably only last a day at most...

Resources shift around on a regular basis, and once in a while a resource will shift out without a new type of that resource shifting in. It may be that the ore on your planet has shifted and there is no current ore available. You could just be having a unlucky shift and there is none on that planet for the next week, or it could be that the new shift of ore will show up in a day or so.

This confused the hell out of me when I first started. I could not figure out why the resources I wanted kept dissappearing from the survey tool. It took a lot of reading and testing before the light went on.
Resources appear and dissappear randomly all the time. Just because a resource is present one day does not mean it will be there the next. The current resources dissappear and new ones appear.The survey tool will tell you every thing that is currently on the planet when you open it. In your case the planet that you are trying to survey does not have any ore on it.
