Artisan Archive

I was on my 3rd account character today grinding general crafting xp. I was making generic crafting tools manually, no macro. All of a sudden the "The crafting session has ended!" message appears and eats my materials. Now, ive only had this happen with a macro and i hit my /dump command. Since I wasnt using a macro this time, im really baffled. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the generic crafting tool possibly bugged? thx
