I am working my way through Artisan and I have all but Survey IV. I was wondering if there was a better way to get xp? Right now I am sampling at 28-40xp per successfull sample. I am sampling a resource area which is at 90%+. How do I get better (larger amounts) of xp when I sample?

You can't grind while playing. You either have to leave a macro running(survey, pause for a while, sit down, pause for a while, start to sample again.) while you sleep, or....well, thats about it. You can get a ton of XP this way, as well as a ton of resources.
My basic macro follows this logic.
stand
pause 1
sample
pause 700
stand
pause 1
sit
pause 150
loop.

When I run a similar macro as the one listed above, my progress stops when I get a box letting me know that a particularily rich deposit has been found. continue or try to extract click ok. how do I bypass this so this box doesn't pause my macro?

the box I am referring to above is "Survey Event".
Also, the above macro..when i run it, it doesn't recognize /loop. what do i pu there to restart the macro?

You need to change the last line to /macro "name of your macro"; And the boxes is not a problem. you will continue surveying each time the macro starts

Yeah... my fault, I wasn't actually writing out the macro, just the logic. I just assumed everyone knew how to make a recursive macro

Actually a /loop would make some sense... To bad we dont have it.. Have to remeber the name of the macro you are writing to... Wow a gamers hard day

A 90%+ concentration is the way to go for highest xp. You're already doing it right.
On the macro, yeah, don't worry about the boxes, but realize that when you come back to your keyboard and start clearing them out, your toon will start sampling for each one you clear (w/o the regular pauses). That means having to stop and rest since your stats are now drained.
