Thread: Colored names on crafted goods
The items you see in vendors with colored names come from long ago since we can't color names in crafted goods anymore.

I do remember seeing this mentioned when the change occured, but I cannot recall when that was.
I figure I must have been distracted by something else at the time, because this really bothers me now!
I sure wish they'd put this back... colored names was a very cool thing.
I was just looking to get some data terminals with colored names to use as signs... oh well, white letters will have to do.
(Praise the search engine... for it is good)

it was removed with the comment colored names would be a merchant feature to encourage sells on bazaar
so honestly I see ZERO reason why it should not be back ingame. {since they put the galactic search on us}
Personally as a Tailor coloring the names of clothes would be great since the lovely bug of wont display item for veiwing ![]()
{i refuse to add words like red or purple or such to 'em
}
actually I was glad they took it out... it was a nightmare seeing the rainbows of colors on the bazaars..and trust me there was.. people tried to make theirs more noticable..and when you have 100 items in a variety of colors it's very obnoxious.
Multi-Colored text has no bearing on what people will or will not buy (Except for people not wanting multi-colored-text named items), So anyone doing that for "attention" is really wasting their time.
Time and again, it's quality, prices and locations that win the day.
I don't want a great feature like this left out because of a few people that waste their time with silly "marketting" tactics.
Over-the-top rainbow-colored items on the bazaar sure doesn't bother me.
Not in exchange for our own artistic freedom.

The one problem with that, is that when you use colors to change the color of the item's name/description. It moves it to the top of the list as it is seeing the "\" as the first character. The would not be fair to those who do not use colors in their names, as it is now totally out of order. But, if a filter could be enabled/disabled it might resolve that issue.. so that name sorting has no bearing on if there is a color or not.

I also wasnt' talking about vendors.. I said the bazaar. The bazaar was a mess, this of course was when a lot of people used the bazaar.. it's died off a lot..especially with vendor search.
I do get more sales from packs that are colored than those that are not
