Thread: Use of your items = experience for you?
Seen a couple of people say this, and I -thought- I read it in the Holocron, but now can't find it.
If someone uses an item you craft - say, a weapon, or a crafting kit, or a shirt - do you get experience when/while they use it? If so, what's the return set at, something like5 xp per use?
For something like a shirt, you get xp while they use it, you get it over time (not all at once) and there is a set limit. For clothing it's 150%.
for a weapon, it's while they have it equipped. For tools I assume it's per use.
Not all itmes are 150%, but I forget what the breakdown is.
I dont remember the breakdown either, but i do remember that deed UXP is given in full when the deed is used.
Also, keep in mind that this is only when OTHER people use your stuff, not yourself (or at least it shouldnt be, i thought i was seeing some self UXP in beta even after they removed it)
50% extra for consumables like food/powerups
100% extra for deeds
150% extra for everything else
It's actually faster and easier now to make things and sell them than it is to grind your way up. It's also more enjoyable. ;-)
The UXP is in addtion to the CXP that you received for making the item.
(UXP=Usage XP)
(CXP=Creation XP)
You aren't notified actually, which is pretty much a good thing. Can you imagine what would happen if you got a ton of weapons or the like into the universe, and EVERY time someone used one you got a message about it? Talk about spam!! Anyhow, it just appears added to your totals. Having that happen freaked me out a little, I was sitting in between mining sets, and the music went off and I got Eng. II while doing absolutely nothing. I for one love how unobtrusive it is...

Ok let me see if I have this, I make a cdef rifle and make say 50 Cxp, if someone uses my cdef rifle will i get an additional 75 Uxp over the life of the item?
