Artisan Archive

I've just started my Artisan, and have crafted up to Engineering II, but I have one question.

I'm crafting, and say I craft a 9 complexity item and it gives me 40 General Crafting Experience. Then I craft a 14 Complexity item and it still gives me 40 General Crafting Experience.

So what gives? How do I know how much experience I'm going to get off an item? It seems the level of complexity plays no issue on experience gain, so I need some help.

exp is given on the amount of thing it uses, not the complexity of the item

for example:

a 14 complexity item that uses 10 resources will give you less than a, 9 complexity item that uses 20 resources.
