i survey and sample stuff. but what do i do with it. how do i make stuff. i get minerals but to make shoes i need like shoe soles and stuff. i just tried like 5 minutes ago. obviously im missin somethin hehe

To make shoes for one you need Hides, which you can get from Scouts. In your Datapad, the necessary components of all craftable items you can make at the moment are listed when you click on them. Hope that helps a little.
