okay when ever i go up to a public crafting station and make the weapon or item that i want, and it gives me the three options, Prototype,make scimatic,experiment. i know what experiment does. but was is the purpose of making a scimatic if you can just go to your crafting device and make one from there? and is the prototype is just like making it away from the public crafting device? help me out here plz

When you choose to make a schematic, what you are doing is making a blueprint for a factory.

The player built factories will require these schematics to be able to build anything for you. The only caveat to this is, whatever you use to make your schematic, then you need those EXACT resources to feed the factory with. i.e. if you use sasolian steel from naboo, then you cannot feed your factory with steel from dantooine for example.
