Thread: Harvester yields ... 1kg = 60 units?
Watching my harvester, I thought that 1k would actually be 1k... but from what I can tell, every 60 units of a resource is 1kg of it? A harvester that is getting a yield of 1.6 kg/hr gives me 1 unit of the resource every 40-45 seconds, which after doing the math a bit, made 1kg = 60 units...
Is that right? If so, that's kind of... well... confusing.
It would be nice if that was somehow made clear somewhere, instead of AFTER you realize that your 2kg/hr max harvester really can't do any better than 2 resource units per minute... that means if you pay a harvester 30 credits for an hour of operation, and another 30 or so for the maintenance of a power harvester for the power to run it for an hour, if you are on a 100% node with a personal harvester, you're basically paying half a credit per resource unit.. in reality, it will usually be closer to 1 per resource unit... not really bad, but a bit misleading from what I partially expected at first (1kg being equal to 1000 units
)
Is this right, or is it a problem? I assume it is the right speed, seems feasible.
