While many artisans are happy to grind away in practice mode, there are items you can make that sell fairly reliably if you want to supplement your income. Even in the less-popular cities you will find people buying artisan wares on the bazaar fairly often. Just remember supply and demand is key. If you are running a delivery mission, be sure to check the bazaar in each city.
Before you start crafting, check the bazaar to see what items are in low supply. I always check survey tools and crafting tools first. Mineral survey devices and generic crafting kits will sell at decent price/resource cost. I usually put up Mineral survey devices for 300 and generic crafting tools for 200 credits and sell 2-3 of each per day in a given city if there isn't many other ones for sale.
Wookie clothing can sell pretty well too. I usually rename Tree Dweller's hoods to "Wookie (Tree Dweller's) hood" so that my wookie buyers will see it is something they can wear. You can even price these at 200-300 credits each. Repair kits are another thing that tends to sell well if there aren't many on the bazaar.
If you have Engineering 4 and Domestic Arts 4, you can sell highly-experimented axes and staves. Rename them to show what damage they do and charge a higher price to separate yourself from the novice stuff. Many new brawlers will pickup a decent made heavy axe because it does a lot of damage.
Now, you probably won't make a fortune with artisan wares, but you can make 2-3k a day if you keep plenty of items up for sale in the bazaar. You can only have 20 items for sale, but if you stick to things in demand, you won't need to blanket the bazaar to get your wares sold. It just feels good to know the stuff you make can be useful to others.
Anyone else have tips for selling stuff on the bazaar?
