(Heeeere Holocron... heere Q3PO... nice devs...)
With the (hopefully) near-future introduction of vehicles, and the farther-down-the-line space expansion, one important question I have is: who is going to craft these? Regular artisans? A 'mechanic' profession stemming from Engineer 4? Perhaps a friendly combo, with some/one low-level vehicle being available to one of the Artisan Engineering skills.
Honestly, I think that having a low-level item from the higher-level professions available to base artisans is a good thing, and I would like to see that expanded upon. Rather than being limited to armoursmiths, bone armor is available to artisans. Likewise with architects, personal harvesters are available to artisans. Seeing how CDEF weapons are little more than something to keep you from being insta-killed by angry rabbits, why not move the D18 pistol and related carbine and rifle from novice-level weaponsmith items, to one of the Engineering skills, drop the rest of the weaponsmith schematics down a level, and then add something a bit more powerful than the T21 rifle (as the high-level example) to the top?
Another suggestion, which I made in the harvester/sampling thread and appeared to have gotten lost in the noise, is the addition of a commodities system. Unlike the bazaar, where you're basically shoving a container of a mineral/bone/hide/chemical/etc into it and setting a price on the whole batch, why not have a terminal where you can put x units of the commodity in, and say sell at y credits per unit or better. A buyer can come along, put a bid into the commodity terminal to buy z units of commodity for n credits each or lower.
The advantages are that people can buy commodities in flexible amounts. Beginning artisans can put small amounts of collected materials for sale and not get lost among the bazaar clutter or big-time miners putting huge lots up for sale. You could even put an average price calculation or something in which gives guidence as to what price a commodity is buying/selling for amongst players.
Just some thoughts.

I am personally banking on a new profession.
I really *don't* want to see any useful vehicle available to base artisan. You can't make any droids without having Novice DE can you? If anything maybe they could make a little junky wheelchair/segway thing, but that's it for artisan!
How else am I going to make my riches?
