Thread: Prices for resources
Maybe folks are just stingy about selling cheap - or the decent priced stuff just leaps off the Bazaar right away in my galaxy, but I'd say 3cr per resource certainly isn't bad and in my experience is about the lowest I can find (and rarely even that low most of the time).
Anywhere from 5-10cr per resource seems more the norm from what I see on the Bazaar, but then again most of that stuff probably sits there too. Then there's the **edit** Bazaar posters - 1 unit for 1000cr![]()
I sell (scout) harvested scout stuff for 2 on the bazaar, but in this case, my marginal cost is nothing, I want to sell fast, and I'm not particularly interested in making sure that I only harvest particularly high quality material. At 2 creds/resource, the smart shopper (who looks for quality) is obvisouly getting a bargain. Even someone like a medic who is simply grinding meds to use in the med center is getting a good deal even if their product isn't particularly high quality. I sell in quantities of 100 to 500 (whatever I have on me after a hunting trip).
Now (harvester) harvested stuff is a different story. In this case, you are dealing with higher volume and quality control is easier (placement of harvester). In this case, I'm looking for a quick sale and to cover my costs. 3 to 4 credits a resource is reasonable for better product.
I know many people charge more, but what's the point? It's the bazaar after all. It's not the place to sell the 998 overall quality metal in large quantities anyway.
Of course the glib answer is, charge whatever the market will sustain.
Yeah, my goal is being able to make havester so I will cut the time of me doing the sampling. I wouldn't mine selling it low, just as long it cover the cost of maintainning the equipment and some little extra moeny for me to by weapon everynow and then.
Thanks for the info
