Is it normal not to get crafting XP for building deeds?

You get structure XP, not general crafting XP.

Maddo, don't you wish you could set up a macro for response to that question?

Sorry i just took up artisan recently...I am a rifleman, and have been primarily in their forums until now. Another noob question; where does it show structural xp?

Right below where it shows general crafting XP in your skills window.
