Sorry if this seems like an entirely noob question, but ... where the hell do I get a sampling tool? I have sifted through the billions of posts, and there's nothing about that. One of my friends said I can make one, but I have no schematic for it. I've looked in the bazaar and can't find one to buy.

Also, is the tool like the surveying device, where I would have to have one for every different sample type?

I'd hate to think I'm just being stupid here, and that could be the case, but I really can't find that tool

Your survey tool doubles as a sample device... in the bottom left there is a sample button There are seven types, two of which (wind and solar) just look for resources, they don't actually collect it. Wind and Solar generators are for that.
