I been wondering what type of shieling or clothing to wear while wen getting sample of radioactive ore to less the damage that it can cause .

haven't found one, I'll deffinately try mining radioactive while wearing composite and a shield and see if that helps


However it would be so much easier if you just mined liquid or solid petrochem. They can also be used as fuel. Be extra careful about that because some of them are very valuable components in armor and weapons.

Correct me if im wrong but I didnt think you could use petrochemicals as energy? Also what happens when you mine radioactives personally, do you just lose ham?

You get the black HAM damage when sampling rads. No way around it, you just have to suck it up. As a fusion owner I both love and hate it.

I hate it because when a new source comes up I have to eat the perminate damage, at least until I catalog all the rad types.

I love it because sample macroers can't load up on the energy I work hard to get!

That's strange. I haven't tried on Live yet, but on TC it does not appear to wound you... only does "white" action damage.

Yeah they announced a "patch" for AFK surveyers who where mining rad energy. They said you will take wound damage if you sample rad.
