Thread: My first vendor...help
1) no![]()
2) only up unitl you initialize the vendor. Then empty it, retrieve the items, destroy it and select another.
3) no item limit. As a further explination, you can retrieve the items from the "storeroom" which really isn't a store room like those in this world, just a temporoary holding area for stuff that didn't sell. The only way to get something IN to the"storeroom" is to first put it up for sale andeither have it not sell in 7 days and it gets dumped to the "storeroom" or "withdrawfrom sale" the item. Either way you can retrive items or put them back up for sale.
4) I dont recommend using the "offers" ability. I "offered" something to my buddy's vendorbecasue he wasn't online. He didn't check theemail I had to sent to notify him and he removed the vendor. The items i offered for sale went into "the planet" and could not be retrived ALSO it counted against my bazaar limit for the week before they got cleaned up.![]()
Always try to use NPC vendors instead of droid or terminal ones. The NPC costs 1credit/day where the other 2 use a formula based on how much you have for sale per hour. My fully stocked (50 + items) droid vendor was eating me out of house and home beforeI found out. This is expected to change soon, but that is the way it works last time i logged in.
To be honest, I'm not sure what happens if you let the maintenance go. I let it go below zero a while back, but nothing disappeared, maybe others can't use it?
3) yes that's correct
4) I recommend putting up a backpack, before you drop it set its name to describe a few thing about your vendor and you can include "no offers" or "offers welcome" on it
Hello,
i placed my first vendor last night. i have a couple quick questions andi have chosen to take the easy route and ask them here! ![]()
1. Once it is placed can i change the name?
2. (i bet i know the answer here) If i want to move it, i have to empty it first...then destroy it, like a house?
3. Is there an item limit?
4. Anything i should know that i forgot to ask?
Thanks a lot!
2) yes (but you don't get a deed, it goes away forever)
3) not that I've found...
I have a house with a vendor containing over 500 items all for sale. HOWEVER after one week they get yanked off your vendor, after a week in the "storehouse" they are deleted without warning!
In the future all vendors may have maintinance related to the value of the items on them (so more items may == more maint). It used to be that vendors' inventory increased their volume (counting against house inventory, and giving you "invalid item" when you tried to sell when the house was full).
4) Please let people know if you accept offers to your vendor or not. That way you can reject /refuse offers and you can't be accused of griefing people for destroying the items they offered.
Thanks Ifele
some follow-ups:
2. "it goes away forever", but i can still create a new one and rename it right? if so, this sort of answers 1.
3.So if my items don't sell in a week, they get bumped to the storeroom...and if i don't put them back up for sale, they get deleted! (if this is correct, that is pretty crazy...thanks for the tip!!)
4. How do i let people know that i accept offers...how do you manage that sort of transaction?
Thanks again!
