That's not suprising. The low level surveyors have trouble sampling certain resources unless they are of high percentage. For example, don't even attempt to go for steel unless it's in the high 80's.

In fact, I'm lvl 4 surveying and even I couldn't sample a 70% spot of a certain polymer. Some resources are just tougher than others. I wouldn't even bother sampling by hand, just get yourself some harvesters and plop them down.

Well it's not that...

I WAS able to survey ANYTHING that was above 25%, but after dropping the skill, I am not able to survey even the exact same resourse at anything less then 80%

I tested this a few times on resources that I had sucess surveying previously

I have Novice Artisan and had Surveying II and droped it back to Surveying I. Ever since that I am unable to collect a sample from anything less then an 80% concentration.

Has anyone else had a problme like this?

There is an issue with resource shifting where you are unable to sample a "new" resource for several hours after it appears in your survey tool, even though it says it's of a sufficient concentration.

Is that your problem, or is there a whole new issue to deal with?
