It has come to my attention as a vehicle merchant that disabled vehicles are unrepairable. I had a friend travel to Yavin 4 and battled some nasty stormtroopers that targeted his vehicle while he was away from the vehicle. Apparently the AI of the Stormtroopers did not wish for him to leave (hehe) and disabled his speederbike to 0 hit pionts. Luckily as a smart BH he kept his Mount as a means of travel backup.

After returning to civilization he went to the garage and after selecting vehicle repair a system message said that disabled vehicle can not be repaired. Why have vehicles if u cant repair them even if the fall to 0 hit points.

No flaming please I would appreciate constructive comments

Zero hit points implies that the vehicle has been completely destroyed. The fact that it's still in your datapad is probably a logistical matter of coding rather than anything else. Yes, the major hindrance to vehicles is that if you don't get them repaired, or if they're attacked, they get destroyed -- and you have to buy another one, which is a good thing. Since vehicles don't have vitality like droids or pets, this is the only way that they can stop being useful. It also insures that players will likely have to store their vehicles if they are overt, else the vehicle be taken out while they're inside a cantina or something.

All in all, I have no complaints with this.... but then, I was aware of it ahead of time. I can imagine it being annoying the first time it happens. For my part, I thought that my droid was completely destroyed the first time that I witnessed the animation completely fall apart, so I can imagine the feeling, and then to have it confirmed. Just give your friend a discount for repeat business and tell him to be more careful.

Yep that's the way it is. It was mentioned either in the patch notes, or some Dev post that was how it would work.
