Ok, we just had a spawn of 998SR steel on my server (and my7 remining lots are on it). I've never seen a non-ferrus metal above around 800SR (is this gated?). I am currently using an old spawn of aluminum at 778. i haven't combined these two yet but with my old steel at 950 i was able to get 94%. I think with this new spawn I might hit 95%.

So what's everyone's best?

First day of the vehicles I crafted a schematic for 100% health landspeeders ( still using it ) & since I have gained a good unknown ferrous material that lets me hit 98% swoops & speeders. The landspeeder I use a 995 SR Steel & a 1000SR nonferrous - for the swoop & speeder I use a 995 SR unknown ferrous & a 990 unknown non ferrous.

What are the benifits of having a bike closer to 100%?

Phrik Aluminum is your friend.

According to SWGCraft.com, many non-ferrous are gated, but Phrik gets to 900. The Phrik spawned right now on Chilastra is SR=869, for example.

The higher the %, the more hitpoints the vehicle will have.

Two advantages to high hitpoint vehicles:

1. Less trips to the garage. It's not cheaper, but at least you can go longer periods of time before having to repair.

2. Reduces risk of having your vehicle incapacitated during a battle (most PVP but there are PVE encounters that could also hit your vehicle). 0 Hitpoint vehicle cannot be repaired - time for a new one.

Thing is, I don't try for high SR resources but usually, these same resources have hight something else - like OQ or UT/HR - and I'd make more money from selling the resources than making the bike to sell.

However, my personal swoop (I made for myself) is 96%.

Thanks for the reply Sevardos. So the only diffrence between swoops is HP? Theres nothing that effects speed or durability (e.g. less wear and tear) resulting in less repair costs?

Only hitpoints. The only thing that affects speed is terrain (going up a hill).

As for repair costs, you pay X number of credits per hitpoint to repair your vehicle. It doesn't cost less to repair a high quality vehicle, but it does reduce the number of times you have to visit a garage.

Someone with a 'grind-quality'vehicles (thats a lot of those vehicles that are being sold at super cheap prices) will visit the garage more often because the HP meter goes below 50% faster - less hitpoints to drop. Like I said, it doesn't cost you less in repairs but not having to find a garage everyday is worth the extra cost in my opinion.

I have been hitting 97% regularly and on the 1 day crafting change day i made about 20 of each at 100% experimentation.Kept 2 of each for myself then sold the rest of them and made some good credits. I have some 993 and some 1000 Iron but my Aluminum is only 880 or so, Still waiting on a 900+ spawn of Alum or Copper.
