Hello! Im a Rodia who just wanna have TKM(Love martial arts... They can nerf us, not playing it for power), but I would like to have an artisan proffesion next to it.
I know I will take Bussiness 4 for vendors, but I simply dont know what to take.
-Chef
-Armorsmith
-Architect
-Weaponsmith
-Droid Engineer
-Tailor
-Master Artisan(Making vehicles)
-----
I find it all very confusing. I tested all these at master on TC-Bria with the blue frogs, but I simply cant decide or know if this is for me.
I would like to make few good items. I love the fact that your items can vary allot from the others, through tapes, experimenting, resources and stuff like that, so you can put a large effort into making an item that is very good if you use long time on it. I would love to make few quality items, with allot of freedom to make it the best I possible can.
Combat is fun for me, and I enjoy PvP but I need something else besides combat to keep me entertained, and Artisan looks like a long term goal, because like Jedi you can always improve your business and items(thats at least what I hope to do)!
Architect..... Im not sure butI think I found Architect most fun. I like to make furniture, I just hated the fact that I couldnt color on them or do experiemntion, and that resources did not mattered, which made it kind of pointless for me. Just being an architect is something I think is cool though.
Chef, seemed really high tech stuff that created allot of freedom from finding the best of every kind items and deciding what aspects of the many foods to focus on. I really like the idea of a Chef, I just think its a waste to use allot of time on crafting an certain item and its suddenly just gone!
Armorsmith... Im not really into armor.. i prefere not using, but the RIS quest seems appealing, and so does the mando quest in DWB!
Weaponsmith - wow.. This seemed complicated but fun. I just think its too hardcore for me to compete with does who got master merchant and uses allot of time on it!
Droid engineer - Got extremely confused with this. Even combat droids seemed wired looking. R4 unit in combat? I had imagined some Droidakas and that sort of stuff... Maybe something along the line of HK-47 from KOTOR, just not that!
Tailor .. Making cloth was not really my kind of stuff!
Bio-engineer... didnt tried it but Heard it was most fun if you also had CH!
------
Some people have suggested for me, to just take spice... And have it next to me if I cant dedicate full time to my crafting, because resources stats does not matter, but I heard that spice will go away with smuggler revamP?
Others have said to me just take Master Artisan and make some vehicles, but I thought that was way too simple. Though the Jetpack DWB thin seemed appealing! Maybe just starting a mine company and get resources for guildes running with harvesters from planet to planet! I dont really know... Quite confused!
I have also been suggested to take Ranger - Time consuming, will get me around allot and abillity to craft allot of traps and camps, but they are rather useless, but I heard that there are nice payouts for finding meat and hide to AS as a master ranger!
I just wanna have fun, and use crafting 50% of the time. I know that some people are saying that it is so hard to compete that it feels more like work, than a game.
I just wanna sell stuff and have some fun, with things I made and operate a business!
PS. with business 4 you can have 500 items in all right? 250 on the two vendors?
please help! Im really confused about what to pick!

It really depends if you can set aside a few hours at a time surveying / looking for the good resource spots as and when they appear.
As a tailor there is only 1 item that needs experimentation, everything else uses resources of any quality, the fun is in the colours and combinations of outfits
Architect is a little more difficult have more specific resources and the harvesters all need you to find things with high stats. so i find that a little more difficult than tailor but still enjoyable.
I tried chef, but travelling around a few planets every night to check resources wasnt fun (i know there is SWGcraft but the organic resources arent kept up to date on half the planets) so even though it is rewarding when you do make the good foods / drinks, it does take some effort.
I've never tried DE, WS or AS but as i understand it they are even more difficult than Chef, with many more specific resources. If you are thinking of going with these then expect to spend a few months waiting for specific resources and resources with good enough stats to make things worth selling.
Given my professions i can usually spend 10 - 15mins a night just checking the resource shifts then another half hour if needed tending my harvesters. after that i can do what i want to do
i hope that gives a little insight

if you are going the houses / harvesters route then business 4 should be ok with the amount of vendor space you get. but for furniture you will probably need to post lots of items and may need more space than that

Actually, Master Artisan can also make crafting tools, and there is usually a regular demand for these. If you can find some metal with high conductivity (above 990) you can sell them for 5500 or above on the bazaar. Doing that, you don't have to worry about vendors and such.
And, trust me, you don't want to worry about vendors and such . . .
