Thread: Reproducable crafting bug

It seems like if you use the same type of tool to craft items, the 2nd one will fail when the 1st finishes. All you have to do to reproduce the bug is craft an item in a tool. Then start crafting an item in the 2nd tool of the same type (mine are same quality - I do not know if that matters). The 2nd tool gets "The crafting session has ended!", potentially wasting raw materials depending on what crafting stage you are at. This seems to be a new bug.

Correction - it seems to happen when any crafting tool finishes. The new item seems safe if it gets to the "Depositing item to the output hopper" phase.

It sounds like this is the same bug I've been dogging since I took this job.

Tell me, what items were you crafting to trigger the bug?

Considering the grind has started again, I would bet it's the creation of crafting tools - probably food or clothing tools.

I have had this happen. But I don't know how to make it happen again. I was using a crafting macro and self made food tools. I seemed if I dumped the macro and started it over it was fine. It happened several times butI wouldn't change anything just /dump and restart the macro and it would be fine.

Guru I was working on BE so it was one of the supplement schematicsI forget exactly.

It was crafting tools actually. Food, structure, and weapon/general were the ones affected.

The bug I know about, that I can duplicate easily, occurs only when making crafting tools in practice mode.

Very annoying it is.

thats exactly right. Having a crafting tool made and on its way to the hopper will stop ANY crafting session you have open. the second one that is open doesn't matter what you're making, its the making of a crafting tool that kills all open sessions when it finishes.

I noticed another bug while doing this... I was novice artisian 0120 and I was crafting food/chem tools... I shouldn't have had that schematic available to me until Engineering one. Not sure if its just a visual bug, but if you open CTRL-S, and click on ENG I, you'll see the food/chem tool in there and not on novice artisan.

Since I was crafting food/chem tools to grind, I was able to get around the "crafting session ended" bug by getting the second one into the hopper before the first one finished. If you can keep this up, you can craft 2 at once without the session ended thing. A sloppy click on the resources, or a crit fail will delay you enough to be late getting it into the hopper and the first will cause the abort once again.

I hope all this helps.

not sure if anyone elses has had this but i got the same bug while making type 2 fireworks in practice mode aoubt 4 weeks ago (at the tiem i found a thread aobut the bug which didnt mention that it was believed to be crafting tools only so thought this was also a known issue) the problem with fireworks is it wont happen everytime just something like 1 in 20 times (not sure if its happening onylat a specific stage of crafting only for these items but it woudl explain why its not every time, and i do know lag means i have to alter the timers in my macros a bit so its possibly a laggy connetion could slighlty change the stage at which an items at wnhe th other finishes

Novice medic gives you the ability to craft a food/chem tool.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?
