Thread: how do i get the ability to survey for more resources?

when i open my survey tool, i only see a few resources, (maybe ten in total) that i can survey for, if i go up the surveying tree do i get more?

Nope, you can get more different resources by using different survey devices (mineral, chamical, flora etc.) and by travelling to different planets.
Leveling up in Surveying will only increase the range of the survey

But you do get different resources on different planets.

The other thing you need to know is that survey tools (either mineral, energy, whatever) only show you what is on this planet that they can survey for. So if you use a mineral one, it won't show things that aren't mineral, even if they are there. When you survey, you have to know what class the item is in. You can craft survey tools, or you can go run some missions in the correct phase if you are force sensitive. If not, just craft all the different survey tools, and go and check out SWGCraft.com. It'll make your life a lot easier.

Just in case you didn't know already, the resources change over time. This is generally called shifting. It took mea couple of days to figure that out when I started.

I have a question about surveying. Is it possible to survey without having the novice artisan skill?
