Thread: How to be Master Artisan in 1 day
First off, you sample while you craft items so you have constant flow comming in. You need to find an item to craft that has low mineral requirements and high complexity. I found crafting General crafting tools until you can craft muzzles works fine. Use 3-4 different crafting tools and craft as fast as possible. Instead of dragging resources to the location, if its just for XP, double click the resources and it will be faster, then instead of moving the mouse all around, just hit enter. Enter works just like clicking yes too. Just do this non stop. I was able to get 6,000 general crafting points in 20-25 minutes.
Second, do macro sampling. Create a macro to sample for you. Time how long it takes to sample and rebuild your action bar. Then you take the minutes multiply by 60 (seconds) and make a macro like:
/sample;/pause 12000;/sample;/pause 12000;
and so on for how many hours you need. I ran one for 12 hours while I was asleep and came back with over 2k low grade ore at 42% in my invetory. There ya go. Happy grinding.
Bah.
Buncha rascally kids, always trying to just get XP and levels. Try Enjoying the Process, instead of grinding the profession into the ground.
Sheesh. Back in MY day, we could grind Bofa Treats, and we had to EAT 'em ourselves!!! We ate 40 Bofa treats in 10 minutes, and we LIKED it!

For example, you can make survey devices right off the bat. They consume 27 resources (mix of metals and/or minerals) and will grant you 54 exp.
Good luck and enjoy. Oh, and welcome to EverDig. /snicker
I found the best items to make are actually weapon powerups. They require two resource types (metal and chemical) that total a whole ten resources and you get 4xp/resource used (or 40xp an item). These items can also be sold on the market as they are a consumable and can give nice bonuses.
I was doing this in Beta 3, and then again yesterday (til the servers went down time and time again).
Works out good, yes, power ups are the best (4x return on investment) and then running a couple missions two at a time back and forth between two towns on the opposite ends of the map will grant you enough money to train to the next lvl. I got to Engineering II, Domestic II, Survey II yesterday with no problems =)
xRavx do you know if we get Uxp for those powerups as well because that would be a nice return on investment if we did?
I wonder if that's why they give 4x instead of 2x - perhaps we get no use-exp for components like that. The 4x would make up for that deficiency.
Something to test out, anyway.
you are definitely supposed to get uxp for components.. but i think the percentage might be lower. I think it's 150% of the crafting xp for normal items, 100% for deeds, and maybe 75% for consumables.... that sound right? Too bad the old beta site is down, or i'd go look it up.

Tempus
Fireworks are also have a relatively high complexity, but you have to have a variety of resources to make them.
Man, why won't the work day go faster so I can see if I can actually log on and play today.
