So im out in the wilderness making scope to get up to engineer III, I am near my items limit, should I just delete them or is it worth while to run back to the cioty/bank??

Yeah, just delete them. You can put a few up for sale on the bazaar, but I only sold some VERY early in the game (first day). Now there are so many clogging the market that hardly anyone can make money doing this.

You'll do a lot of craft/destroy, craft/destroy on your way to your elite profession.
