i have enough xp for surveying lvl1, the green bar on the side of it is full. it says i need 2 points for this skill. my question is do i already have this skill or do i need to click on something to activate it. are the original 15 points deducted from my total for the 4 lvl1 artisan skills? ifi do need to clickon something please be specific on where i go to click on it thanks in advance.

You need to have an NPC trainer train it for you. This will cost 1000 credits.

You can also ask another scout character to train it for you. They will often do this for free - but I always try to tip at least 10% of what the NPC trainer asks for it.

You don't yet have that skill. First, you need to find either an npc "Artisan Trainer" or someone else with the skill to teach it to you. Second, the "Artisan Trainer" is going to require about 1000 cr to teach you, while anyone else Might do it for free (though they would like you to /tip them). Try going to a place with lots of people and shouting "Can anyone pls train me in Survey 1? The points for each skill are deducted from your total.
