Anyone know some good animals for yeilding good amounts of bone?....and how about any for hide?.....Seems when I get larger animals they don't produce more like I would expect!

It depends largely on your Scout skills for hunting. The more hunting skill you have, the more resources you get when you harvest the kill.

Remeber not all bone and hide are alike.

Yes skill has an effect on the amount you can harvest from a creature. Also, in my experience Worrts, Sevorrts and similar creatures yield more hide than bone. I usually harvest hide exclusively from them, whereas other creatures (ie: womprats, Cupas, etc) I harvest bone. Unless a schematic calls for a specific type of hide, I usually stick to this strat.

I just wanted to emphasize what the above poster said about all hide and bone not being the same.

What I've found on Tatoinne/Starsider is as follows;

Assuming your making bone armor, the following hides are my favorites;

The best hide appears to be Bristley Hide which is found on Rills. I'm not sure what other creatures have this.

Scaley hide is decent, and common on Kreetles.

Sevorts, Gorgs, Eeopiesetc. all give leathery hide. I don't like it, but it's the most common hide by far.

Banthas give wooly hide, which is terrible for making bone armor.

As for bones, we have bone, avian bone, and a few other types. I haven't found any good bone on Tatoinne, but the regular bone seems to be the best.
