Thread: Trouble with crafting tools

Earlier today I was crafting a few weapon power-ups to put on the Bazaar, when I'd suddenyl been reminded that I had forgotten to keep track of my inventory space. Needless to say I was out of room and it seems I have somehow jammed things up...not only the tools I was using at the time I ran out of space, but ALL my crafting tools give the jammed message. I've made the necessary room in my inventory to continue, but I still get the message. It also mentions I might need to make room in my datapad (but it's got plenty of room) or clean out the device's hopper...only trouble there is that the crafting tools don't have ant hoppers that I've been able to find.

Anyone able to help me with this? Thanks in advance.

I think this is a bug. I think the real problem is that one or more of your crafting tools have been "used up".

I had the same problem. Even though the message was about inventory or datapad space, I think it was really a message that the crafting tool was "finished", i.e. spent. When I looked at the crafting tool it did, in fact, have a status of "finished". I crafted a new tool, and its status was "ready".The problem was solved and I was crafting CDEF Pistols again in no time.

I believe this is a bug. I think the real problem is the crafting tool(s) are "spent", they should have a status of "finished". Craft new tools and you should be all set.

Well if it is a bug then they really need to fix it, heh. It effected ALL my crafting tools, not just the one that I'd been using at the time. I had to destroy them all and buy a new generic crafting tool from the bazaar in order to be able to craft anything. And I was going to put in a ticket about it, but being 400 xp from eng. IV for the 2-3 days (if lucky) it takes them to respond to tickets, was just too long for my tastes.

I ran into the same thing a couple days ago. Bring up the radial on your crafting tool, go to Use Station or whatever it is, then click Empty Hopper.

Who should I hate?
The One-Click Jedi for the ease of his path?
The Elder for wanting his to be the only path?

I think it's a bug too. I'm a scout and I noticed similar problems with my inventory management. In one situation, my character died with an almost full inventory. My revived clone had almost no items in invetory but when I tried to use my "forage" skill (that searches for foodstuffs and other survival resources), every time I found a new item, I would get an error message saying that my inventory was full and that I could not keep the newly found item in my inventory (which at the time had only 3 or 4 items). Even when I dropped a couple of these items for good measure, I still got the error message. I suspect that the system could not tell the difference between the inventory on my corpse and the inventory on my newly activated clone.

I think I might be able to help with this, but I could be wrong.

When you fill up your inventory space, your hopper will keep an item that you've made but can't carry. When you've made enough room, open that crafting tool with your radial button and highlight the 1. option (I think it's "Craft Item", or something) When you highlight it for a moment, another menu should pop up on top of it that says "Empty Hopper," or "Item Hopper," or something to that effect. That's when you can take it out and put it in your inventory.

And all this time I had just assumed it was jammed and destroyed it. Lost some really expensive items that way. Live and learn, now I know to check the radial menu.
