I'm going to become a chef, but was wondering if there's a quicker way than cooking to get the early stage crafting exp?

Personally, I make Structue and Furniture Crafting Tools over and over again. I tie 3 tools to hotkeys then pump out the Crafting Tools. They give 65 exp each, and I can get about 2000 exp in 30 minutes (estimate). They only require 2 different types of resources, and not much from each.

Bottom line is that XP is awarded at 2 times the resource count (with very few exceptions).

Make what is easiest but uses the most resources. I define easiest as... what materials I have in abundance and the item does not require many types of resources or sub components.

Yes teh big key is multiple crafting tools since you have to wait for the tool to reset after each item. I always carry two of whatever tool I want to work with that day. Also don't worry about using experiementing at the public tools if you just want to grind thru the lower levels...just destroy or give away the stuff you are making.

Here's the strange thing. Making harvestors takes a good amount of resources. In the beginning, I got like 4-500 from making one (both in gen craft and structure). Now I get like 400 or so to structure but only like 30 (if that) to gen craft, **edit** is up with that? I agree with the crafter making idea though, fastest way. I've also notcied thatyou don't seem to get xp from experimenting and making a high quality weapon. You still get like 40 xp from making a CDEF pistol that is 5 times as good as a generic one is.
