Thread: question about surverying xp

I think it depends on the recource concentration you are sampling. A certain concentration can only get so much recources, the experience depends on how much of the max recources you get from that concentration. You probably got the 10 from a 90%-95% concentration, and the 7 from a 60%-70%, if you got 11 or 12 from the concentration u got 10 from u would get about 52 exp just like the one u got from the other one.
well i was sitting on an 89% spot i would get 42 for 10 and 52 for 7 64 for 8
remeber it [correction] WAS double xp week

Also, for some reason, when you happen to find a high concentration, the xp for that particular sample is lowered. So if you should be pulling 6-7 units per sample, then hit one where you get 10-11 on a high concentration, you will get less xp for it. Don't know why, just seems to be the way it works for me.
wrong, xp from sampling is random, here is an example:
i was just sampling some carboponiine in theed, 66% concentration after three samples in the same locationthese were the results:
located 6 units: 68 xp
located 6 units: 44 xp
located 4 units: 52 xp

I usually just ignore when it says you have located a particularly rich sample, it just cost more action and doesnt give any benefit to xp. you dont even have to click out of it, just ignore it and continue sampling. Sampling xp sucks, i recommend making a short macro and click it on before you go to bed, in the morning you will have most the xp you need. good luck
You can't just ignore the pop up windows. You will not sample till you respond to them or actually stop.
They are there to keep us from AFK sampling and getting xp when we are not there. Only merchants are allowed (and politicians i think) to get xp when they are not there.
You can (could) hoever make a macro that takes you out of sampling then back in. That will cause the box to be ignored and when you check back you will find several of them on your screen and you will still be sampling.
The one I used to use involved siting and standing to break sampling then resting to rebuild action then loop back to sampling.
Last time I tried to rewrite it (after a crash) I couldn't get the loop to work. willhave to chk sometime.
Been maxed out on survey for a long long time so didnt care.

yep your right, i never really paid much attention to it before but i just tested it. when you get the popups you stop takin samples until you respond or stop completely. like you said, standing and then resampling works for ignoring it so you can set up your macro like that. i personally have noticed that i dont really need to sit to replenish my action or mind though, they seem to replenish on their own before another sample is taken, maybe thats just me though.
