I'm an old player, coming back after a year. I was asked recently to if I could build a BARC repairer, I looked into my schematics and blow-me-down I build one! ...I don't even know what they are!
So what the hell isa BARC (I know it's a type of speeder or something) and where do I get the strange resources for the repairer?

You would find them in space..using a space mining laser on your ship 
Only place I can think of where you can find them..where exactly I have no clue I have been looking around myself for the components.
For what a Barc is, its a speeder bike basically that only players who bought "the total experiance" package get. It can't be carfted or quested..or looted. At least not yet, or to my knowledge.

If you have the Rage of the Wookiees expansion, then you can mine asteroids. There is a great guide in the Shipwright forums on it.
