Artisan Archive

My primary profession is Scout, but I dabble in Artisan, so I'm in an ideal position to gather resources that pure Artisans might have trouble getting to. So, it would be helpful to know when and how often the resource maps are reset, so I know which resources are hard to find and go gather accordingly. Does anyone have this information?

Also, are some resources guaranteed to be rare? It would be a little frustrating to travel to the far ends of Lok to get some high-quality ore, and have a rich vein of it pop up near town in Naboo three hours later.

I'd appreciate any information the more experienced surveyors could offer.

The calculation for resource depletion and renewal is based on both time and rate of extraction. A heavily-mined resource will roll over faster than one that is lightly harvested. The calculations were in flux near the end of beta, but I'd guess that when everybody has a full compliment of harvesters, resources will last 4-14 days on average (and that's just a guess).
