I mean really, I bought a 30 - 60 3.9delay pistol for 600 last night. It took me like 7 minutes to get the money. AND that was the best pistol out there at the time. I would have paid at least 2k if that was its price was.

problem is the market is flooded with dirt cheap weapons right now. So not many people will pay much for one, even if is is better.

Plus most people I've ran into are dirt poor right now (myself included).

Part of the problem too is that the buyers are not taking the time to actually see that the SpazMAtic l33t 900 weapon, selling for 500 is really just a crappy 17-35 CDEF weapon in disguise.

I've been selling my maxed out, experimented on weapons for reasonable prices but when I charge 300 for it and someone sees another weapon selling for cheaper, they usually buy the cheaper one. Although there are some people who keep buying the latest iteration of my weapons because of branding. That makes me feel good when someone sends me a tell asking if I have an upgraded version of the weapon that they bought from me. I think once the buyers are more educated it will be better for us artisans who are really trying to make better weapons for y'all.

I have seen some really ridiculous and outrageous prices and think it sucks that people are getting hoodwinked. I can't wait till I can afford a house and my own vendor. That'll sort that out I think.

I have been branding My weapons...but the crap is causing me to change to Armor.

Example

CDEF 250 (17-35)

CEDF leet one 200 (18-36)

CEDF 170 (17-35)

Lowar P1 250 (27-52)

Which one is better...mine...but no one knows...so I can not sell it for 2k...everyone else has there junk(17-35) for 250 I have to price mine cheaper...but if I get my name out there word will spread and the price will go up...right now I have not sold a gun in 2 days...cloging up my Bazzar space!

You should see the Lowca server bazaar which is filled with hundreds of 17-35 CDEF weapons priced at 25 each. It's ridiculous. It's at the point where I'm ready to spend XP and skill points in business skills so I can make highlighted auctions.

And, to the originator of this thread: see the whole debate below called "Free Weapons are killing us." There's no reason why Artisans shouldn't be able to request and get 200 credits per CDEF weapon just to cover the time it takes to gather the resources. (More credits for a good experimental model.)

I completely disagree on the 'lowballing' thing. Artisans charging 500 bucks for the biggest POS CDEF blaster/pistol is whats
killing the market right now and keeping people from even using the bazaar. Pretty much the bazaar is useless as far as selling items
because its completly flooded with the worst items. At least in beta people seemed to grasp the laws of economics.

I lowball every artisan on the bazaar... and not with crap, with good quality armor. I see someone selling a crappy Bone Armor Breastplate
with 9% energy 7% resistance stats for 5000 credits, what a load of crap. And dont give me the excuse about how hard it is to get hide/bone,
if you team up with 1-2 even 3 scouts to bring you thier hide/bone exclusively in exchange for say free armor repair and heavy discounted
price on armor and you will have the hide/bone just pouring in. The idea is to get your goods on the market. Bone armor is worthless, its just a
starter armor, you want people to wear your stuff, you have to post loss leaders. Things you sell for less then it costs to make it, so that people
keep comming back to you for thier equipment. No newb on any galaxy can afford 30k credits to buy a armor that they will not wear for 2 weeks.

So keep selling your stuff for high prices and wonder why it doesnt sell. I make newbs entire sets of Bone Armor for free, all they have to do is
supply thier hide/bone I will provide the metal/chemical. By selling to them for a loss, I ensure that they return to me when they need it repaired,
and they also come to me for better armor when they can afford it. Hell I even offer trade-ins, I get tons of repeat customers because I will
let them trade that crap 9% that they got from the bazaar for 5k credits for a 22-28% that Im making now.

The economy is just starting up....

One thing that helps me sell is that when I create a weapon, I put the damage in with the name. So instead of seeing a CDEF Pistol in the bazaar, and assuming it is just like all the rest, they will see something like "CDEF Pistol 20-42" and know what the damage is just by looking at the name...

Putting stats in the name will usually make you sell fast, because people dont want to look through every single overpriced newb pistol. I just saw 30 -60 on a pistol, checked to make sure they werent lieing, and bought it.

Everyone's gotta be patient, free markets take time for a price to be set. I know all you power-gamers wanna be the uber crafter but thats just not going to happen until the sellers AND the buyers are experienced enough to know what they are looking at and what is a fair price. And TokenBluntz has a very good idea there. I started out describing the stats on my weapons but hey nobody reads that. Putting the Dmg or any increased stat in the name is a really good idea. Free market economics is based mainly on the freedom of information in the market. If a buyer knows what hes getting from the start he will be willing to pay 500, 1K, even 2K for a quality item.

I can't sell good weapons on the CDEF variety because people are flooding the market with them ranging from 25 to 100.

You goto the bazaar page through 4 pages of cheap weapons, And then get to the very bottem where you start seeing some of the personalized weapons.

OT= I have noticed clothing sells real well though.

I was in a group the last night and I offered to give one of my mates one of my modified carbines to replace his current one he looted from some NPC. He said "I already have that weapon". NO YOU DON'T!!! AHHHH!

Learn the laws of supply & demand! It's better to destroy most of what you make. The less the market has of an item, the more money we can get for them. LEARN TO DESTROY MOST OF YOUR ITEMS!

Sell the best of your items, but if there are 12 Carbines on sale make something else that isn't listed on the Bazaar. And don't undercut your fellow artisans ... if you've got an equal value item don't lowball your fellow artisans ....
