Thread: What I think about Macro sampling.
I think it is a great idea for thses reasons, first off it seems that the servers always put the largest amouts of a resource in the no build area around citys or on hilly terrain.
Also everytime I try and find a large deposit in a no build zone there is already a dozen extractor there leaving no room to place anything.
But I think that you shouldn't go completely away from the game. I put text arkers in my macro, so I know how many sample I have left.
So between every comercial, I go back to the last text marker and read everything.
I someone tried to talk to me in that 15 minutes I will answer him back.
thats is why I feel that macro sampling is okay as long a peple self police themselves.
For instance here is this one Mon cal in bestine on starsiderthat never moves, wether I log on at 10:00am or 1:00 am he is there and dosen't answer me. That I feel is wrong.
So I am in support of the idea that you should be kick after a certain time of Afk. I would say an hour is a good number.
But this wouldn't be neccessary if people wouldn't take sampling to the extreme.
And maybe if people wouold stop making posts "The best Sample Macro" Less people would do it and it wouldn't be such a big problem. I say if they want to do it let them do it on there own. Alot of people are very lazy and wont put in the hours it take to make a very effective macro.

I agree, it would be wonderful if people policed themselves and played well together, being considerate of others and not slefishly thinking only of themselves. Sadly, this is not the world we live in. There are a LARGE number of people who feel that if they CAN get away with something, then they SHOULD get away with it, screw everyone else.
Basically what I'm saying is never count on the common person acting like a nice guy. Cynical, I know, but better that than screwed over. That's not to say there aren't nice people too. Lord knows I've met a lot of them too. The few can ruin it for the many, quite easily.
