Okay, I posted this on the Game Guides forum, but this is by far a better place for it.

My suggestion for fixing the "overnight macro sampling" problem is simple. Have the game take it's AFK auto status from mouse movement instead of game commands. That way, if a person leaves a macro running overnight, he will go AFK and then time out, because his mouse is not moving. If they are using macros to save a few commands while they sit and craft or whatever, then knock yourself out! This way, the most a person could auto-sample for is a half an hour-ish.

I LIKE the repeating macro. I'm relatively new and don't have the skill for harvesters yet. I use it to save me some time while I sit and craft or whatever while my character samples.

For people who complain about not having the time to sit and sample because they "have a job" or "have a life", I have both, and I think if you don't want to sit in front of your computer and harvest, then buy a harvester to do it for you. The only reason I HAVEN'T done that, is I want to build my own. It's a personal choice. I hate people who whine because they want their computer to play a game for them. You get people to do your job for you too? Strike that, you probably do.

Anyway, it's not the economy I'm worried about with macro sampling, since the economy balances itself out over time anyway, it's server lag.

So for all those who talk about it not being an exploit, you better not freaking complain about lag. EVER. since it's people taking up server bandwidth while they sleep that are causing it.

The only thing I'd like to add is that not only do they suck bandwidth but cpu on my end when I have to render them. Its not like I don't have cpu cycles to spare or am running out of ram but it just irks me that I have to render the dead.

I like your idea. I can also see the hardcore afk macroers buying a vibrator for their mouse as was suggested in another thread, lol.
