Thread: Possible New Skill for Survey 4

Please consider and bump this idea for a new skill that should fall under survey 4:

Real Estate

The ability to rent lots from other players at an agreed amount.

Reason:

Either you use all of your lots, none of yout lots or just enough for a house or 2. So for those of us makeing deals that are unsecured to rent lots from other players why not elimiate the threat of fraude by letting players actually transfer lots over to another player for whatever they agree upon? If the lender wishes to get out of the deal they cancel the contract and the renter has 2 days to reduce the overall lot consumption by that ammount or risk haveing the last buildings placed destoryed or redeeded and placed in their banks.

I currently rent lots and it is a real hassel to get folks to move harvesters to new locations. I don't like asking them to do it, and they rarely enjoy doing it, so why not just pad my overall account with lots and subtract from them and automatically deduct X ammount a day or week or month to keep the contract valid so that I may treat the addtional lots as my own in respect to deeding and re-deeding.

This also will illiminate unscrupulouse renters from shaveing off resources from the renter that are in the hopper that the renter has paid for.

This promote commerce for people who don't wish to use all the lots given to them and for crafters and merchants to make better use of land.

I would like to see lot rentals in game as well. A lot of people are doing it already, it would be nice to see a way to set these 'contracts' in stone.

I'm interested to see what the rest of you think about this idea - not necessarily putting it at survey 4 - the lot rental idea. If there's interest in ideas like this, I can check to see if it's possible, it may or may not be at this time.

Personally I would like it but I don't see them having a way to make it happen, I would like to see artisan, getting +2 lots, any novice elite profession 1 more(arch gets 2, not stackable(i.e. novice tailor, armorsmith,de etc.)) and the Master of an Elite Profession gets 2 more(stackable) and merchant gets an additional one, or at least have merchant have the ability to place a 2 lot or less house without the cost(a store you need) soa total amount possible: 18(two elite master) or 19(arch) and a house, heck I'd take 10 and a free house as a merchant, two lots is two more miners or factories(1 structure).

10 lots for an elite crafing profession is not acceptable, heck I need a store and a storage house with the 150limit.

I definitely like the idea of getting more lots as you progress through crafting professions.

Now this is a great idea, plus it would be nice to be able to move the structures as needed. Instead of begging the owner to move them. As of now I have access to my sons lots...heheso its not too bad but I still need him to move or trade harvesters as we live in different towns.

Good idea, IMO. Might get resistance from the Dev's, however. I think they already think that resource selling is unbalanced, and anything that would make it easier to mine more resources would probably give them pause.

Rather than making resource mining easier for "miners", make it harder or less rewarding for non-miners.
